Mary Margaret Stevens, 82, of Westwood, Kentucky, died Sunday morning, April 14, 2013 at Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland with her precious family at her bedside. Helen graduated from Ashland Senior High in 1950, graduated with a MA in education from Morehead State University in 1974, and later received a Rank 1 in Kindergarten Education and as a Reading Specialist, having taught at ACTC and retiring from the Greenup County School System. 2 step brothers, Troy and Andy Holsinger. Surviving include his wife of 61 years, Lona Russell Rigsby, 2 sisters, Betty (Roger) Rice of Catlettsburg, KY and Ernestine (Bill) Blanton of Ashland, KY. 2 sons, Don (Barb) Rigsby of Russell, KY and Jeff (Cindy) Rigsby of Russell, KY. 5 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews and a special caregiver who was as close as family, Marilyn. He said the wet road was the primary factor in the accident. Jackson and Geneva Mayberry and a brother Joe P. Gipson. Faye was preceded in death by; her parents,her first husband Fred Thompson; two sons, Roger Fred Thompson and Richard L. Thompson; two grand daughters, Leslie Scott and Valori Scott; a half brother, Don Pelfrey and two brothers, Warren and Jack Pelfrey. James was born April 1, 1927 in Greenup County, Kentucky, a son of the late Granville Salyer and Dona Owens Neace. Preston-Pruitt Funeral Home in Danville is handling arrangements. Paul was a member of the First Baptist Church, Russell, KY, where he was involved in the Mercy Seekers Sunday School Class.
